Forensic Assessment Services
Specialized Evaluations For Individuals With Problematic Sexual Behavior
Our forensic assessment program provides clinical, court-admissible evaluations for individuals involved in legal matters related to problematic sexual behavior. We partner with attorneys, public defenders, and legal professionals to offer timely, evidence-based assessments that clarify behavioral patterns, identify vulnerabilities, and inform court decisions. Our process is grounded in medical accuracy, trauma-informed care, and a sex-positive perspective. We do not provide risk scores or actuarial predictions. Instead, we identify key protective factors and areas of concern, offering targeted clinical recommendations without subjective bias.
Problematic sexual behavior refers to actions that may involve:
- Violations of consent
- Legally reportable offenses or boundary violations
- Engagement in risky, impulsive, or compulsive sexual acts
- Online or remote sexual activity that causes harm or distress
- Repeated behaviors that interfere with daily functioning or relationships
Assessments are often requested in the context of criminal proceedings, probationary requirements, or civil litigation. Please note: These evaluations are typically not covered by insurance, including Medicaid, unless prior authorization is arranged.
